Carillion will build a major block of social housing at its redevelopment of RAF Hendon aerodrome in north London.
The firm is understood to have picked up blocks F3-F7, which form the eastern boundary of the Beaufort Park and sit facing train lines and the M1 motorway.
Under a £25m contract, Carillion will deliver 177 affordable rent homes on the 25 acre site.
Meanwhile, the contract to build blocks C5, C6 and C12 are also out to tender with John Paul Construction hoping for another win on the big site, battling it out with Ardmore and Tolent.
