Butten was at Balfour for 24 years having joined in 1989.

His final role was as commercial director for major projects in London and the South East.

It is believed he joined McLaren last month but his new role has only now been confirmed by the contractor.

“John will commercially lead our Major Projects division and bring with him a wealth of knowledge and experience that will further enhance the business moving forward.”
