Two of the machines are the first of their kind in Europe and have been designed by Soilmec for large diameter piling, where the structural components have been redesigned to reduce weight.
These two Soilmec SR-75 and one Soilmec SR-30 rigs are fitted with the latest Tier IIIB/IVi engine.
The rigs exceed stringent new emission standards and reduces CO2 by around 17%, while still delivering more power, efficiency and flexibility.
Keltbray is also trialling a wide-angle camera system, referred to as Vision Technique Overview, which provides 360 degrees in-cab vision for the rig operators.
Managing Director of Keltbray Piling, Stuart Norman, said: “Our growth is a result of our ability to increasingly tackle technically challenging contracts in sensitive environments; be it in urban areas, ports or infrastructure projects.”
Keltbray Piling was established in 2009 and has seen progressive growth over the past five years, and now boasts 45 employees and six expert piling crews.
The firm is working on the development of Osterley Campus for BskyB and a contract at The Glebe, which is being developed by Brookfield Multiplex and set to become London’s most exclusive residential development in the heart of Chelsea.
