Each partner will refurbish around 2,000 houses across the borough, which did not receive improvements under Sandwell’s previous Decent Homes programme.
The work will cover kitchen and bathroom upgrades, new central heating systems and electrical rewiring plus external works such as replacing roofs and windows where necessary.
The council’s survey teams have already been carrying out pre-work surveys at properties since last year.
Estates set for upgrades in 2014/15
- Charlemont Farm, Devereux Road, Bromford Lane, Kelvin Way, Lyng, Kelvin Way, Spon Lane, Beeches Road and Trinity Road – all in West Bromwich.
- Owen Street, Park Lane and Victoria Park – all in Tipton.
- Tividale, Oldbury
- Tividale Hall, Rowley Regis.
