Chief executive John Self said the Prime Construction Division, headed up by ex Balfour Beatty MD Jim Tolputt, will now be split into three divisions – London, Regions and Major Projects.

The groups’ subcontracting businesses of Logistics, Carpentry & Joinery and Hoist Hire will come under the leadership of Tony Forward who has been promoted to MD of Specialist Services.

Elliott Thomas had a turnover of £53m in 2013 which is on course to double this year.
