The £17m investment at Stepping Hill Hospital in Cheshire will see the Integrated Health Projects joint venture build acute medical facilities and two operating theatres.

Its contract will be completed in March 2016 and has been awarded under ProCure 21+ national framework.

Ann Barnes, chief executive of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We are delighted with the plans for the new development which is part of our strategic regeneration for Stepping Hill Hospital, and a greatly improved environment for our patients and staff.”
