The Enquirer understands that the pre-construction phase of a two-stage tender will be awarded within days on the scheme.
Construction information specialist Glenigan has a contract value of £75m for the scheme with bidders believed to include BAM, Lend Lease, Mace and Skanska.
Architect Sheppard Robson has designed the ten-storey scheme which will provide 242,000 sq ft of flexible office accommodation and 13,000 sq ft of retail and restaurant space at ground level.
Work is due to start on site in September 2015 with completion targeted for Summer 2017.
The office space has been designed to accommodate between one and 29 tenants, with the floor plates and servicing providing the maximum level of flexibility.
