Jonathan Crone joins as director of the programme management office, while Colin Morris joins as programme delivery strategy director.

Both will report directly to HS2 Director of Programme and Strategy, Alistair Kirk.

Crone has joined HS2 from Foster Wheeler Energy where, as a divisional manager, he led a multi-disciplined team delivering project controls and integrated reporting on major oil and gas projects around the world.

He brings over 30 years’ experience on major infrastructure projects, including project management of Hong Kong’s Chek Lap Kok Airport.

Morris has joined from cost consultant EC Harris where he led the work with the Saudi Government on several high profile projects, including new multi-modal transport systems in Jeddah and the delivery plans for twelve new FIFA 45,000 seat stadiums across the kingdom.

With over 26 years’ experience he also worked in senior roles at Halcrow and the Ministry of Defence.
