Subcontractors pulled-off the job on Amhurst Road in Hackney last week as Anglo Holt ceased trading.
The £20m job started in March 2013 and was due to finish in Spring 2014.
But a string of problems meant the site was still only partially completed when Anglo Holt plunged into administration this week.
A row of adjacent homes to the site had to be demolished soon after cracks started to appear after work started on the hotel job.
And work is well behind the original schedule as our photo of the current site below shows this week.
Work was suspended on Anglo Holt’s eight live contracts last week and administrators at Baker Tilly are now trying to novate the contracts.
A Travelodge spokesman said: “We have been informed that Anglo Holt Construction has entered into administration. We can confirm that the contractor was engaged by a small number of independent developers presently constructing hotels that are expected to be leased to Travelodge.
“We are currently working with the affected developers to secure alternative arrangements for the completion of the projects. We expect the hotels to be completed and transferred in due course.”
