Young was previously at Balfour Beatty for 27 years where he rose from the position of engineer to project director responsible for the delivery of construction projects in the healthcare, education and student accommodation sectors, ranging from £23m-£70m.

In the newly-created role Young will oversee all main contract projects throughout Scotland and Ireland.
