The health board has now lodged a pre-application notification with Aberdeen City Council for 10 new facilities.
The plans include a new Baird Family Hospital, the ANCHOR Centre, a patient hotel, a multi-storey car park and a new life sciences centre to be shared with Aberdeen University.
Construction work on the projects is scheduled to begin in 2018 and the facilities due to open in 2020.
The Baird Family Hospital will include maternity, gynaecology, breast screening and breast surgery services.
It will also include a neonatal unit, centre for reproductive medicine, an operating theatre suite and research and teaching facilities.
The ANCHOR Centre will provide out-patient and day-patient investigation and treatment services for patients with cancer and for patients with blood disorders.
The plans are an overall vision for Foresterhill and also include the creation of a new Foresterhill health centre and a replacement for the existing mortuary.
Latest expansion plans are on top of other ongoing work to modernise and enhance existing buildings on the site, which has already resulted in a new £13.6m radiotherapy department opening its doors this year.
