The Council’s capital programme will include sports and leisure facilities, schools, libraries and community facilities and extensive refurbishment works.
Two new leisure facilities currently scheduled to begin construction in September will lead the programme.
A new leisure centre will be constructed on the Copthall Estate, to replace the existing centre currently situated there, another leisure centre will be constructed on a green field site, subject to planning approval, to eventually replace the current provision at Church Farm Leisure centre.
Both buildings are projected to cost together around £25m. A further two leisure centres at Finchley and Hendon are likely to be replaced at a total cost of £20m later.
Further information about the plans is available from the PQQ available from the council portal.
