The new sixth form campus to be built in Bodmin will be called Callywith College and will consist of four buildings comprising around 120,000 sq ft.
It is being built for 16-19 year olds and will have a capacity of around 1,300 student when the doors first open in September 2017.
The proposal is to build the campus in phases, subject to funding and demand.
Phase 1 will see the main teaching building (Building 1) and sports changing pavilion (Building 4) being delivered along with the main access roads, footpaths, car parking, bus turning area and sports pitch.
This would have a planned start on site in Spring 2016 and be completed in Spring 2017.
The future phases would deliver Buildings 2 and 3 along with the associated car parking and external works areas.
The time frame for these buildings is not certain, however the site has been masterplanned so that either future building can be brought forward first and both can be delivered without affecting the already operational phase 1.
