Betting Spy: West Ham to bag Liverpool hat-trick

Beating Liverpool is like waiting for a bus on the Barking Road for West Ham fans.

You wait ages for one and then two come along at once.

Admittedly the wait in this case was more than 50 years after the Hammers finally won at Anfield for the first time since 1963.

And it was a sweet double over the Reds as we ran out 2-0 winners at Upton Park earlier this month.

Now the long term trends don’t look great. But football is a form game and West Ham are in a nice winning groove while Liverpool still look far from convincing.

Which makes the 3/1 about another Irons win at Anfield in the FA Cup this weekend very tempting.

Liverpool look horrible at set pieces while any midfield still containing Lucas Leiva won’t have the visitors quaking in their boots.

The Reds somehow managed to ship four goals against Norwich last week and haven’t won at home to Premier League opposition this year.

Jurgen Klopp may be a charismatic figure. But last minute escapes against average opposition are papering over a  lot of cracks.

Slaven Bilic meanwhile is a breath of fresh air after the soporific tactics of Sam. Allardyce.

Bilic has got his side playing exciting attacking football orchestrated by the mercurial Dimitri Payet.

The Hammers are also a tough nut to crack at the back and Bilic is sure to take the FA Cup seriously with league safety almost assured.

All things (bar 50 years of history) point to an away win so West Ham it is then to carry the Betting Spy cash this weekend.
