Work will see a 50% increase in the size of the terminal building and a wholesale revamp of passenger facilities.

Phase one of the three-year project is due to commence mid-2016 and complete by June 2017. This will see the construction of a two-storey extension to the south of the existing terminal, making space for new arrivals and immigrations facilities, and new business lounges on the upper level.

Temporary facilities will be in place as these works are undertaken.

At ground level, the extension will accommodate all facilities for international arriving passengers as well as domestic baggage reclaim. Two business lounges will be located on the upper level.
