Already planning has been obtained by the housing association for 318 largely private homes, shops, a public square and central public library to provide a civic focus in the town.
Mike Johnson, The Hyde Group’s Development Director said: “By working together, through a joint venture partnership, we can share risk and reward to deliver much needed new homes and exceptional educational and leisure opportunities for Harrow.”
Alastair Baird, Barratt London’s Regional Managing Director, said all apartments on the College Road site would feature private balconies.
The three building blocks, one rising to 20 storeys, and public realm have been developed in partnership with Skidmore, Owings and Merrill and Gross Max.
The scheme is expected to be completed in spring 2018.
