Dickson graduated from Edinburgh University in 1988 and worked for the major projects division of an international contractor as a graduate quantity surveyor prior to joining BAM in 1992 as a project surveyor.

Dickson held various roles in the business before becoming the commercial director for Scotland in 2009.

He is a member of the Construction Scotland Industry Leadership Group and currently chairs their Procurement Implementation Group consulting with Scottish Government on the implementation of the Procurement Review White Paper.

Both Dickson and Keillor take up their positions this week.
