Simon Smith, currently managing director of the Nuclear, Energy and Water business unit, will take on Fletcher’s role at infrastructure with immediate effect.

Fletcher, who will remain in the business for the next three months to ensure a thorough handover, is understood to be moving on for personal reasons.

John Morgan, chief executive of Morgan Sindall Group, said; “Significant progress has been made in all areas of the Infrastructure business during Nick’s time with us and he will be very much missed by everyone. I would like to sincerely thank him for his efforts and success.

“Simon will continue to manage the Nuclear, Energy and Water business unit until a new managing director is appointed in due course.”
