Prater has won the cladding deal on the £54m East Stand extension project at Twickenham Stadium.

The specialist has been appointed by main contractor Mace to install curtain walling, roofing and a rainscreen system.

Prater will start on site next month installing Schuco curtain walling, porcelain and aluminium shingle rainscreen systems and soffit insulation across the site.

Other elements include a single ply roof and hot melt roofing system.

Shane Blackett at Prater said: “We are very proud to be able to add Twickenham Stadium to our portfolio of high profile stadia and leisure developments.

“With such a complex project design adding to the logistical challenges and time restraints, there are already a number of teams working onsite.

“However, with our experience and expertise, we are able to work collaboratively with the full project delivery team to ensure successful results.”

Completion of the project is scheduled for early 2018.
