A timetable has now been agreed for the project which has been held up by an ownership change.

Cherwell District Council is in the process of buying the site after it was put up for sale by Aberdeen Standard Investments.

Aberdeen had already lined-up McLaren as main contractor for the expansion plan and the council has now confirmed the company as its main contractor.

Work will create a hotel, seven-screen cinema and six restaurants.
