A joint venture between Argent Related and Barnet Council plans to build 6,700 new homes in the Brent Cross South 180-acre town development. The masterplan also includes up to 4m sq ft of new office space providing for over 25,000 jobs.
The framework will deliver infrastructure over the next 10-15 years.
Work includes new and improved parks and public spaces; streets and roads; and services, drainage and utilities, in preparation for the construction of new homes, workspace and retail and leisure.
Anthony Peter, Development Director of Argent Related, said: “Long-term infrastructure delivery partner is a critical role to help us achieve the level of the scale and ambition that we have for the new place.”
Richard Prime, Divisional Director at BAM Nuttall, said: “This partnership extends from our successful delivery of high profile urban regeneration projects, such as the Olympic Park, King’s Cross, and more recently Nine Elms.
“We look forward to building on and strengthening this collaboration with Argent Related and delivering success through our long term partnership.”
BAM Nuttall has worked with Argent, Argent Related’s sister firm, for more than 10 years.
Also Argent Related has announced that Swedish energy group, Vattenfall, has been selected as the preferred partner to deliver the district heating infrastructure for the scheme.
