Naylor has been at Bouygues for more than two years as business development director.
Before that he had a similar role at Keepmoat and Higgins.
He will be joining in the newly created role of Development and Partnerships Director.
Kim Bromley-Derry, board director at McLaren, said: “Mike is a fantastic addition to our team and will boost our capability and capacity to serve local authorities and registered providers.”
Naylor’s move comes as Steve Yates leaves McLaren to join Wates.
Yates joins Wates as business development manager as the firm prepares to significantly expand its presence in the London marketplace with a focus on commercial office, mixed-use and residential work.
Phil Shortman, Managing Director of Wates Construction London, commented: “Steve has a highly regarded reputation for business development owing to his impressive industry connections.
“He is an excellent addition to our strong regional team and is perfectly placed to help drive our growth across key sectors and develop customer relationships.”
Yates added: “I join Wates at a very exciting time in the company’s history as we seek to broaden our reach across our core markets.
“Wates has long been considered a leading contractor across both public and private sectors so I am proud and privileged to become part of the very talented team here in London.”
