Management contractor Barton PM, part of Barton Group Services, has been selected to deliver a landmark residential scheme in Salford.

Barton established by former building contractor Forrest’s commercial manager Matthew Fawcett a year ago will manage the construction of the 525 flats scheme on Regent Road.

Designed by Fletcher Rae for property investor Sourced, the high-spec scheme will be developed in phases across five blocks.

It will offer a mix of one, two and three-bedroom flats as well as three-bedroom town houses with 24-hour concierge, podium level gardens plus a resident’s lounge and gym.

With site clearance now complete on the Regent Plaza development, groundworks are due to commence in the new year, followed by the steel frame in March.

The entire development will be under construction for around 40 months.

Matt Fawcett, managing director at Barton Group Services, said: “This is our first scheme with Sourced and we’re delighted to be appointed as management contractor to this really significant development.

“We are currently preparing the remaining construction works packages over the forthcoming weeks so will be looking to release these to the market in February 2020, with the overall scheme due for completion in Q1 2023.”

Stephen Moss, managing director at Sourced, added: “The demand for properties is increasing and this new development will give the area and community a boost. Having completed projects across the country with our network and with the additional support of our peer-to-peer platform, we are pleased to welcome Barton to our team in helping us to bring this landmark scheme to life.”
