The rise of Henry Construction from a smaller specialist groundworks and concrete frame specialist into a general building contractor has been fed by the uplift in multi-storey home building.
In just three years, the firm has managed to trebled in size and more than doubled pre-tax profit to 10.8m. During that time full-time staff numbers have risen to 28 from 12.
The firm said that its fast growth had been driven by not only increased activity but also the size of contracts it now undertakes.
In the latest accounts, director William Henry said: “The geographic focus for the company remain London and the south east. Although predominantly we work on residential and mixed residential schemes in the private sector and for public associations, we are currently developing a small number of hotels in the private sector.”
Cash in the financial year to June 2019 grew to £40m from £34.5m in 2018, with net assets up from £17m to £25.5m last year.
