The role, for client Barts Health NHS Trust, involves supporting the development of the outline business case for the £700m scheme.
Aecom could also take the project to full business case and through planning and construction to handover.
Submission of the full business case is expected in 2022 with construction potentially starting later that year.
Richard Mann, Healthcare and Science Sector Leader, UK & Ireland at AECOM, said: “Leading the team developing the design for the new Whipps Cross Hospital gives us the opportunity to lay the foundations for a robust and sustainable scheme.
“The scheme will not only benefit people in terms of better healthcare facilities, but takes a holistic approach to delivering wider benefits to the community such as new housing and infrastructure.”
