The St Mary’s Gate project has been designed by Coda Architecture and will provide accommodation for almost 300 students.
Site preparation will involve demolition of Bushbury House, a 1960s three-storey office building.
It will be built next to the neighbouring New Era Square building, which has small mass and scale. Unlike this metal clad building, the St Mary’s Gate student block will have a brick envelope.
