Work will start next month on the 34,000 sq ft One Portwall Square project, which is located next to Bristol City Council’s own 100 Temple Street office.
The project is estimated to cost around £10m to build.
Architect Allford Hall Monaghan Morris has designed the scheme with opening windows throughout the building alongside a passive in-slab cooling system and high ceilings to create the best work environment for occupiers.
John Brennan, Skanska Regional Director, said: “Since negotiations began, we have worked closely with Nord and are delighted to sign this contract so we can use our knowledge and expertise to deliver this exciting, sustainable project for them.”
One Portwall Square is designed to meet BREEAM Excellent and EPC Rating A standards.
It is also connecting into Bristol City Council’s District Heat Network providing a more sustainable way of heating that offers cost efficiencies and a greener energy source.
