Leeds based Sigmat are currently working on the construction of a Marriot Hotel on the club’s Sandy Park site and were keen to put something back into the local community.
Sigmat CEO Mark Eburne said: “The sponsorship signifies our commitment to both the Club and the people of Exeter.
“The Sandy Park project has really enhanced our growing leisure portfolio and the team at the Exeter Chiefs have been a pleasure to work with throughout. We share their ambition to grow Rugby in the UK and hope our partnership helps extend this message across the South West and beyond.”
The new nine-storey, Marriot International Hotel, which will be the largest commercial hotel in the region, will house 250 bedrooms along with ground floor leisure facilities and a spectacular rooftop cocktail bar with stunning views across the River Exe estuary and beyond.
Works are set to be completed in December and Sigmat have been involved in delivering an all-encompassing offsite MMC solution.
Lisa Duncan, Exeter Chiefs Sales and Marketing Director said: “In what are still challenging times for us all, it’s great that we are able to team up with a company like Sigmat. They are an innovative, forward-thinking business and, we feel, a great fit for Exeter Rugby Club.
“We have already built strong communications with them through their links with the new Sandy Park Hotel and we believe this will only grow over time. It is a partnership that we feel will benefit both parties.”
