Brookes joins the company’s highways business with a brief to focus on growth within existing and new frameworks for strategic and local authority customers.

She joins from Highways England where she was most recently Director for Operations Business Transformation and Performance.

Since joining Highways England in 2000 as a bridge engineer Brookes progressed through the organisation with roles as Regional Operations Director for the Midlands and East regions and a period of time as Chief Highways Engineer.

She began her career in the private sector working for Gifford and Partners, and Mouchel, as well as running her own limited company for a period, focussing on bridge design and heavy civils.
