Developer Carpenter Investments is planning the One Brunswick project, which will rise from podium level along a sloping garden roof to 16 storeys.

The 1km long green roof trial, equivalent to 30 tennis courts, will wind through 360 degrees up to a sky-bar and restaurant on the top floor.

The building will also provide for some offices, shops and a gym.

Designed by Liverpool-based L7 Architects and ADS Civil & Strutural Engineers, the Liverpool developer said the scheme would revitalise and enliven the historic South Docks and create a new landmark for the city.
