The secured works include 105 low-rise homes made up of a mix of houses and apartments plus community centre with a contract value of just over £30m.
Phase 2 and 3 of the Ravensbury estate in Mitcham are part of Clarion’s wider £1.3bn regeneration in the borough.
The regeneration plans will ultimately deliver 2,700 homes alongside 9,000 sq m of community and commercial space across three Merton neighbourhoods.
Construction on the Ravensbury estate site is due to begin at the end of this month, with completion planned for June 2025.
Richard Cook, group director of development at Clarion Housing Group, said: “We are pleased to partner Henry Construction Projects and begin the next two phases of homes at Ravensbury alongside Merton Council.
“This marks another major milestone in our wider regeneration of the area, which is creating a sustainable community of good quality and affordable new homes for existing residents.”
Joe Bonner, director at Henry Construction, said: “We are delighted to have successfully secured our first project with Clarion Housing Group.”
“This is a very exciting time for us as a business and we look forward to delivering this fantastic development with Clarion.”
