Manchester planners nodded the scheme through on the build to rent developer’s third attempt after the main tower height was lowered by one floor to 33 storeys.
The planned scheme on the corner of Great Ancoats Street and Port Street will provide 481 private rental flats, managed by Select’s Affinity Living brand.
Renaker Build is understood to be lined-up as main contractor for the project, which has been designed by SimpsonHaugh, across 33, 11 and nine storey buildings.
The three-year building programme will cost over £100m.
