With immediate effect, Gavin Pritchard becomes managing director of Octavius’ Highways and Matt Smith managing director of Rail.
Both new roles will report directly to John Dowsett, CEO, and both retain their Exec and Octavius Infrastructure Board responsibilities.
John Dowsett, CEO Octavius Infrastructure, said that the changes would drive the firm’s growth ambitions with both MDs responsible for operations and commercial aspects of their business units.
Dowsett said: “It has always been our plan to make this structural change to enable the development of a deeper market understanding and closer relationships with our key customers, allowing us to use our agility to respond quickly to the changing landscape.
“I’m delighted that, in Gavin and Matt, we have two outstanding internal candidates who are stepping into these important roles to drive our business forwards in line with Octavius culture, values and principles.
“Whilst our Highways and Rail business units are wholly complimentary, they do have different needs, challenges, and expectations.
“Each business has its own ambitious targets; each has different levels of market maturity, customer demands and depth of relationships.”
