Yorkshire Water has put contractors on bid alert for two major framework deals worth around £2.8bn.

These two frameworks will look to deliver water and wastewater asset investment over the next 10 years, and deliver on the water company’s drive to make substantial reductions in sewage overflows into watercourses.

Planned works will cover the AMP8 regulatory period running from April 2025 to March 2030, with options to extend to APM9.

A bidders day is due to be held on 5 June for the £1.5bn Non-Infrastructure Framework and £1.3bn Stormwater Alliance.

After these briefing sessions, Yorkshire Water will launch both bid races on 26 June with awards planned by July 2024.

AMP8 Non Infrastructure Framework

Lot 1 – Non-Infrastructure Framework Complex Civils and MEICA.

  • Framework will typically range from £5m to £75m. It is proposed to include 3 to 6 design and build contractors

Lot 2 – Non-Infrastructure Framework Minor Works.

  • Projects will typically range from £250k to £5m

AMP8 Stormwater Alliance

The Alliance will consist of at least one design consultant and three contractors. Bidders can form as a single entity or a delivery consortium.

Alliance Partners will work with Yorkshire Water from early concept phase to identify and develop solutions, and then provide design and construction work to deliver the outputs required for our customers.

Andy Clark, head of commercial at Yorkshire Water, said: “We are currently working with customers, stakeholders and regulators to finalise programmes of work to be included in the AMP8 period, which will form part of our largest-ever environmental investment programme.

“We are looking to hear from organisations with the expertise to deliver our ambitious goals over the AMP8 period and beyond.”
