The firm has submitted plans to build seven blocks ranging from 8 to 30 storeys in Canning Town on a 4 acre site known as Crown Wharf on the River Lea.
Around 35% or 241 of the planned 871 homes will be affordable.
Under the plans drawn up by architects JTP and Met Works the tallest two central towers will be grey rising to 25 and 30 storeys.
The project will sustain around 500 construction jobs and will require the construction of a new flood defence wall to replace the existing sheet pile retainer on the eastern bank of the river Lea, which is corroded.
Proposed phasing for Crown Wharf
The anticipated overall construction period will be six years
