Chown has worked at Sellafield for over seven years. Prior to that, he held senior executive roles with Balfour Beatty as procurement and supply chain director and was prior to that procurement chief at GSK.
NG Bailey said: “Bringing a wealth of experience gained across numerous organisations and sectors, Martin will prove to be a great addition to the NG Bailey Group board.”
NG Bailey is working at the Sellafield project as one of the key delivery partners for a new integrated delivery team model covering key work packages in the clean-up of the nuclear site in West Cumbria.
This followed last year NG Bailey and Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick taking the two available spots for Electrical & Instrumentation, a framework worth £485m-£600m over the 18-year life of the programme.
