The “C**t of the Week” cup has now been melted-down by the developer which is a major player in the capital’s residential market.

The Enquirer understands the trophy was occasionally awarded to subcontractors and London Square employees when minor mistakes occurred on sites.

The developer said it was “intended by those involved to be light-hearted.”

London Square added that no complaints were made about the trophy until a subcontractor became involved in a contractual dispute with the developer on a job.

London Square said: “Early last year, a complaint was made about a trophy in a contractual dispute with a subcontractor who has now been ordered to and has failed to pay London Square over £1 million.

“This was the first complaint received over the trophy which was intended by those involved to be light-hearted, but which was removed and destroyed by the company on receiving the complaint.”
