On Phase One Persimmon will deliver 94 new homes for local people, while the house builder will also transfer 19 properties to a housing association provider to support the local community’s housing need.
The scheme will deliver enhanced walking and cycling routes, road access, public open spaces, and includes the retention of the existing landscape structure.
Plans for the second phase of the remaining 310 homes were submitted in April and are currently being examined by Cornwall Council.
Managing Director of Persimmon Homes Cornwall and West Devon Adam Church said: “We are thrilled to have secured planning permission for Phase One of our Helston development.
“This marks a significant milestone for Persimmon Homes Cornwall & West Devon as we embark on the construction of 94 exceptional homes, designed to enhance the lives of local residents.
“With a commitment to quality and community, our first phase will include 19 homes for local social provision, improved pathways, road access, and inviting public spaces, all while preserving the natural beauty of the area.
“Situated conveniently near essential amenities and public transportation, this development reflects our dedication to creating thriving, inclusive neighbourhoods.
“As we move forward, we eagerly await the next phase and the opportunity to continue contributing to the growth and prosperity of Helston.”
