The Colmore Tang main website is now showing as expired and calls to the head office say the number is no longer recognised.

One subcontractor said: “We are trying to get in touch with them about money we are owed but it doesn’t look good.”

Latest abridged accounts for the year to May 20022 showed a pre-tax loss of £1.2m along with current liabilities exceeding current assets by £3.4m.

At its peak in 2018 the company had a turnover of £95m and employed 143 people.

The firm has been downsized in recent years and switched focus from major residential projects to delivering specialist cladding remediation.
