Remediation, groundworks and RC frames contractor Statom Group has acquired tower crane hire specialist Trident Lifting Solutions Limited.

The £19m-turnover Trident business will become part of the wider Statom Group which enjoyed revenue of £144m in the financial year 2022/2023.

Trident will remain under the guidance of its current directors Chris Conway and Graeme Boyle.

Stan Nikudinski, Group Managing Director of Statom Group said: “The acquisition of Trident Lifting Solutions is a strategic move that aligns seamlessly with our commitment to excellence and innovation.

“It not only strengthens our foothold in the tower crane sector but complements our capabilities in RC Frames, Groundworks, and Remediation.”

The contractor added: “This strategic combination not only broadens Statom Group’s service portfolio but positions the company as a versatile and comprehensive solution provider in the
construction sector.”

The acquisition also incorporates the exclusive UK dealership rights for Comansa Tower Cranes ranging from 8 to 90 tons.

Statom added: “The enhanced tower crane fleet now positions Statom Group as a key player in lifting solutions, capable of meeting the diverse needs of major construction projects.

“The company’s increased turnover signifies robust financial health and sets the stage for sustained growth and expansion in the competitive construction landscape.”
