Procure Plus expands social housing upkeep framework

Manchester social housing framework specialist Procure Plus is extending its social housing upkeep framework into the North East, Yorkshire and Humberside.

The new installation and repair framework agreement has been valued at being worth £866m over four years and builds on a similar framework covering the North West.

It will cover a range of specialist trades works for planned maintenance predominantly within social housing properties as well as public buildings such as schools and offices.

Now out to tender, the framework is broken down into 23 lots covering kitchen, bathroom, heating, electrical, roofing and insulation, whole house installations and damp and mould remediation – the latter being the largest lot in terms of forecast spend.

Contractors appointed to the framework agreement will be required to interact with and source certain materials from the suppliers appointed to other Procure Plus framework agreements.

Firms will also be expected to share a commitment to social value, and specifically the creation of training and employment opportunities for individuals who are underrepresented within the construction.
