Pagabo has revealed the 49 firms appointed to the first of its new £1.6bn healthcare decarbonisation frameworks which include Kier, Morgan Sindall and Willmott Dixon.

Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is serving as the healthcare sector-specialist contracting authority for the framework, which will run for four years.

The suppliers appointed can provide a complete business solution for clients. This will allow clients to go directly to main contractors to undertake retrofit assessments, work up costs, self-deliver or bring in supply chain partners to deliver schemes, while serving as a single point of contact.

Typical projects may include installation of specialist heating, cooling and ventilation systems, installation of renewable energy sources, fabric upgrades, installation of energy saving lighting, and replacement of inefficient glazing.

The framework has four value banded lots, applicable to the 12 geographical regions, giving a total of 48 sub-lots.

  • Lot 1 – up to £1m
  • Lot 2 – £1m to £5m
  • Lot 3 – £5m to £15m
  • Lot 4 – £15m+

Jason Stapley, chief procurement officer at Pagabo, said: “Launching a brand-new, carefully created framework is always an exciting moment for us and the high demand for this healthcare-specific offering means the excitement is shared by our clients.

“Decarbonisation schemes are a common focus across the healthcare industry and its many estates at present, so this framework makes compliant access to specialist, experienced contractors as easy as possible.

“There are 29 SMEs appointed to this framework, once again demonstrating our commitment to creating opportunity and increasing competition – all in order to lead the way in public and private sector procurement.

“Our second new decarbonisation framework that is suited to other sectors will be launching soon too, meaning that a huge number of clients will have even greater support with their net zero projects and strategies.”
