Around 19 suppliers, including 13 SMEs, face a fight to renew their places on the £1.5bn framework that was first developed five years ago to help accelerate the delivery of 50,000 new affordable homes.
While most schemes under this build framework will comprise properties for social rent, councils may utilise the framework for other tenure, mixed tenure and other schemes such as care homes and student accommodation.
