Galliford Try has rebranded its telecommunications business in a push to target the UK’s 5G networks and electric vehicle markets.

The firm’s telecoms business unit has been operating in the market since 1991, and has delivered over 25,000 wireless and core network installations across all operators.

The business is now turning its capabilities and skillsets to emerging digital infrastructure markets, which will see the UK’s 5G and electric vehicle needs being met.

The newly-renamed Galliford Try Digital Infrastructure provides property access and installation of telecoms infrastructure for the Radio Access Network market and is expanding into sectors such as defence and private 5G networks, which are becoming a growing market as IT security becomes increasingly important.

The business is one of Galliford Try’s Specialist Services businesses, which were earmarked for growth as a key margin driver for the group.

Andy Duggins, Managing Director for Galliford Try Digital Infrastructure, said: “I am excited to be leading our team at this time of growing opportunities, and our new rebrand will help us reflect more effectively our place within the market.

“Demand for our offering, including electric vehicle charging and renewable energy infrastructure will only increase, and I look forward to working with all the team to take our business forward.”
