The main contractor took the step to email its subcontractors after the firm’s credit rating was impacted by the action.
In an email seen by the Enquirer, BAM said: “BAM is aware that its credit rating is being temporarily affected as a result of action taken by a small supplier.
“The petition debt is disputed and we are in the process of pursuing our rights in relation to the petitioner.
“We expect that the matter will be dealt with shortly.”
A winding-up petition issued by road haulier D.A.W.S Transport Services on 4 October has now been withdrawn, according to court records.
The firm added: “We would like to reassure you that there is no underlying issue with our ability to settle accounts as they become due.
“We continue to operate as usual.
“We would like to thank our loyal supply chain partners for highlighting this issue and for their continued business relationship which we greatly value.”
