Police were called on Tuesday 15 December 2020, to an address in Haughgate Close where the victim was undertaking renovation work on a house and sustained serious injuries.
Dale Baker, 30, from Felixstowe died at the scene and a joint investigation was launched between the police Major Investigation Team and the Health and Safety Executive.
The CPS have now authorised charges of gross negligence manslaughter and two safety charges against Peter Clifford of Felixstowe.
A further two safety charges have been made against his company Hintonwood East Anglia Ltd.
Clifford has been summonsed to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Friday 15 November.
