The Telford headquartered firm delivered record revenue in the year to March 2024, jumping 20% to £249m. This lifted pre-tax profit from £3.5m to £6.7m.
Better trading saw operating margins improve to 2.2% from 1.5% in the prior year with interest on cash balances contributing £1.3m to the result.
The family-owned contractor provides mechanical and electrical engineering services to the education, defence, justice and health sectors as well as undertaking maintenance and refurbishment for housing associations and local authorities.
The year of growth saw staffing rise to 1,100, operating out of 21 bases countrywide.
Thomas Mark Dodd, a director at Dodd Group, said: “The Property Services division saw considerable growth in the year, following a restructuring into 4 sub-divisions.
“The Construction division has continued to secure sizeable schemes with select main contractors across all regions.”
Year-end cash improved 16% to £44m.
