Construction work will start this month on Bosden, the first of three residential buildings at Stopford Park between Greek Street and Wellington Road in Stockport town centre.
Bosden will provide 62 one and two-bedroom homes for sale within a new neighbourhood community and landscaped public realm in the heart of the town.
Alongside the Bosden building will be the Torkington offering a further 122 flats, and a 16-storey building called Lyme which comprises 258 apartments.
The former Metropolitan Girls’ School on Greek Street will also be converted into a collaborative flex workspace for local businesses.
Richard Stanton from Oak Construction Projects said: “Being a Stockport-based contractor we are especially pleased to have been appointed as Cityheart’s construction partner for Bosden.
“We will be working with our network of locally based subcontractors to deliver 62 much needed residential units on this high-profile site in central Stockport.”
It is expected that work will also start soon on the two further residential buildings and Stopford Park will be completed by the end of 2027. The first homes will be available to reserve off plan from Spring 2025.
