The replacement for Waid Academy will be delivered by BAM Construction in partnership with the Scottish Futures Trust and Fife Council and brings a range of public services under one roof.
Designed by architect BDP as a community hub, the three storey complex will also provide a new home for the council’s local office, the library and a base for police officers.
It will also boast a new all-weather pitch up to Scottish Rugby Union standards and a hockey pitch.
Fife Council said work will begin as soon as possible on the three-storey building, with pupils due to move in in March 2017.
The Waid is one of the first wave of schools to benefit from the expanded Scotland’s Schools for the Future programme.
