Box & Charnock will start work on site this month and continue until April 2018.
The 5.25 acre site fronts onto Hornsey High Street and will contain 440 apartments, a large Sainsbury’s supermarket, retail and commercial space plus private and public landscaped gardens.
Steve Dickinson, Commercial Director, St James Group said: “We were impressed by Box & Charnock’s ‘can do’ approach and attention to detail.
“They are a good fit with our business in terms of management style and project delivery and we are looking forward to developing our working relationship with them at the Smithfield Square development.”
Box and Charnock will provide mechanical and electrical services to the four apartment blocks and the Sainsbury’s superstore.
Services will include an energy centre, plumbing, heating, ventilation systems, electrics, lighting, security systems, data and Wi-Fi services.
Steven Box, joint managing director, Box and Charnock, said: “We are delighted to have secured the contract to deliver the mechanical and electrical services at Smithfield Square which is our first contract with St James.
“Our expertise lies in new build residential/mixed use developments and we have vast experience over many years in large fast track schemes, working for some of the UK’s best known developers.
“The requirements of the contract therefore fit very well with our project delivery skill set and current target market.
“Smithfield Square is a very prestigious scheme for Box & Charnock and we are looking forward to a productive and long term relationship with St James.”
